Blaine C. Flanders, 72, of rural Selinsgrove, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.
He was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Sunbury, a son of the late Harold U. and Louvonna P. (Shaffer) Flanders. Blaine was a 1970 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and on Nov. 4, 1972, he married the former Sue E. Pontius, who survives.
He retired after 25 years of service from PPG Industries.
Blaine enjoyed camping. The center of his life revolved around his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years is a son, Heath Flanders, of Selinsgrove; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Dave Moore of Georgia; two grandchildren Rebecca and Daniel Moore; a brother, Jeff (Judy) Flanders, of Richfield, and a sister, Patricia (Ken) Knouse of McAlisterville, and he will be missed by his cats, Allie and Spooky.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Flanders, and a sister, Cynthia Good.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
