Charles J. Klingler

Charles John Klingler, 95, of Selinsgrove, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born on April 13, 1930, in Selinsgrove, Charles was a son to the late C. Ammon and Edna “Mae” (Stauffer) Klingler. On June 12, 1948, he married the former Geraldine “Dolly” Walter, who preceded him in death.

Charles was a 1947 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School. Following high school, Charles went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army.

He attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Selinsgrove.

Charles was a dedicated dairy farmer.

Charles carried a lifelong curiosity about the world beyond farming. He traveled to all 50 states and even journeyed through the Panama Canal, embracing every opportunity to experience new places and landscapes. Charles was an avid fan of western movies and a passionate photographer, always ready to capture a moment worth remembering.

Charles is survived by four sons, Lee (Janet) Klingler, Ray (Barbara Stanke) Klingler, Craig (Cheryl Chalmers) Klingler, and David (Marcie) Klingler; one daughter, Carol (Monte) Miller; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by his infant son and two brothers, Larry and Gene Klingler.

Funeral services will be held at V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 North High Street, Selinsgrove on Thursday, December 11, 2025, beginning at noon with Rev. Dr. Dietmar Plajer officiating. A viewing will be from 10:00 am until the start of the funeral service.

Burial with military honors will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
