Earl W. Ferster

Earl Wilmer Ferster, 92, of Selinsgrove went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Brookdale Grayson View, Selinsgrove. On April 9, 1955, he married the former Grace Eileen (Raker) Ferster, who preceded him on Feb. 13, 2016.
Earl was born on Aug. 16, 1932, in Richfield, a son of the late Earl and Emma (Graybill) Ferster. He was a 1949 graduate of Freeburg High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Earl retired after 44 years as an Insurance Agent and Owner of the Selinsgrove State Farm Insurance Agency and was previously employed at the Richfield Feed Mill and for the US Postal service as a letter carrier
He was a member of Richfield Life Ministries Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Treasurer, Sunday School teacher of the Men’s class, and sang in a men’s quartet.
Earl was a member of the Gideons, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and the Snyder County Republican Committee. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed traveling extensively.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law James R. and Molly Ferster of Middletown, a daughter and son-in-law Brenda J. and Stanley Dueck of Richfield, eight grandchildren Jason Ferster, Jayme Roush, Lissa Janes, Damon Kaylor, Megan Lister, Trent Dueck, Troy Dueck, and Brianne Mendez, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Earl was preceded in death by three brothers Robert, Paul, and Howard Ferster and two sisters Miriam Swartz and Muriel Stouffer.
A viewing will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Richfield Life Ministries Church, 167 Church Street, Richfield with Pastor Aaron Benner officiating. Following the service the burial will be in Richfield Union Cemetery, Richfield.
