Edgar William Clark (Selinsgrove), predeceased by parents Elwood and Matilda (Wallace) Clark (Selinsgrove), his wife of 54 Years, Jeanne M. (Gibson) Clark, sister Bette D. (Clark) Bodmer. passed peacefully on Monday May 30, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by his family. Ed was born on December 28, 1944, in Lewisburg, PA and is survived by: Son Ed and his Wife Lynn (Selinsgrove), Daughter Dannielle and her Husband Stephen (Lewisburg), Son Tyson and his Wife Tanya (Fort Lauderdale), Son Austin and his Wife Kelsy (Selinsgrove), Nephew Brian and his Wife Kathie Bodmer and their children Matilda and Donovan, Nephew David Bodmer, Grandchildren Eddie and Cassidy, Josh and Wife Christie, Sydney, Alec, Tristan, Logan, Adler, Marlena, and Lucy, Great Grandchildren: Isaac, Isabella and Foster Children Deirdre (Dee) and Sharon. Edgar graduated in 1963 from Wyoming Seminary and went on to study at Marrietta College. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS America CV-66 from 1966-1970, earning a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Also known as “Fletcher Townsend III Esquire” or “Ralph Kramden”, Ed had always worked hard at every occupation held; Many of which included Sales at: Montgomery Wards, Owl Homes, Plan-a-Home, Alexander Family Dealerships, Susquehanna RV, and Mull’s Auto Sales. Ed also owned the Strand Theater in Sunbury PA along with his sister Bette and worked as a promoter at the Selinsgrove Speedway. And while his venture “Poopy Task Force” (dog yard cleanup) was a business, he often didn’t charge his clients. Ed co-founded the Sun Corvette Club, which is still in existence today. Ed was a jokester at heart and would never pass up the opportunity to pull a prank, make up a silly story, or share his amazing memories of him and his childhood friends’ (who remained friends through life) wild adventures together. Ironically, those who knew Ed seem to have just as much fun, telling stories THEY have about HIM. He loved dogs, loved his country, music, racing, and friends. He always took the time to shake hands and thank a Veteran for their Service, anytime he’d see them in public; an amazing gesture that he has passed on to his children and grandchildren. But to Ed, the 3 most important things in life, are Family, Family, and Family… an idea that he leaves all of us with, which we embrace each and every day. A public viewing will be held Saturday April 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., immediately followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home at 601 N. High Street, in Selinsgrove, officiated by Pastor Mike Gaugler. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion, Post 25 and The Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6631, to be held immediately afterwards at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local V.F.W. in Edgar’s name.
