Elden Edwin Heimbach, 90, of Selinsgrove passed away into Glory at his home on Saturday, August 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. His wish was to be taken care of at home which was made possible by many who helped in his care, to which we are all so grateful to have had. He was born on July 14, 1935, in Washington Township, Snyder County, a son to the late Charles and Ruth (Shafer) Heimbach. He married Carol Burkholder on July 20, 1957, who preceded him in death on March 2, 2020.Elden was a member of Susquehanna Mennonite Church, Port Trevorton and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He was an extremely hard worker. He enjoyed farming, mowing grass, and riding his golf cart and his hands were strong from all the hard work he performed. Elden enjoyed watching game shows and many travelers as they passed by his farm on 11&15. He held a special place in his heart for his little dog “Maxine” with whom he adored. Elden set the bar really high as an example for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of what a Godly, compassionate Christian man was. He was always willing to help each one in whatever capacity he was able to. We all have been beyond blessed by the legacy he has left. Surviving are his children and their spouses, Sharon and James Hoover, Linda and Tom Martin, Donna and Leroy Martin, Brenda and Jim Good, and Scott and Melinda Heimbach; grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Rafael Newcomer, Josh and Melissa Hoover, Anita and Eric Watkins, Ryan and Ashley Martin, Linsey and Ryan Krauss, Seth and Amanda Martin, Nicole and Brandon Smith, Ashley and Braden Landis, Alaina and John McCullough, Kenton, Joseph, Jonathan, and Julie Good, Alexis and Josh Malick, and Nicolas Heimbach, 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild soon to be born; three brothers and their spouses, Albert and Mary Heimbach, Oran and Charolette Heimbach, and Clair and Evelyn Heimbach, one sister and her husband Helen and Leroy Reinard, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the V. L Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove and again on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Witmer’s United Methodist Church, 350 Witmer Road, Port Trevorton with Rev.
