Eleanor E. Popovich, 95, Selinsgrove

Eleanor Ethel Popovich, 95 (nee Papp) passed away quietly surrounded by her family along with her two dogs on Friday. January 24, 2025.

Eleanor was born on January 4, 1930 in Bayonne, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Papp.

She was one of six children- Joseph, George, Alfred and Mary who all preceded her in death.

In 1950 she married John Popovich who passed away in 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Corl (Popovich), son-in-law, Dennis Corl (with whom she resided); granddaughter, Megan Corl of Orlando, Florida and granddaughter, Jayne D’Elia (Corl) and grandson-in-law, Casey D’Elia of Ridgefield, New Jersey. Eleanor is also survived by her sister-in-law, Diane Papp of Cranford, New Jersey; and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 12-1 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 112 Fairview Dr., Selinsgrove followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 with Father Joshua Cavender officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
