Gary E. Gill, Sr., 84, of Lewisburg, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born on April 5, 1942, in Kantz, Snyder County, a son to the late Russell E. and Erma T. (Scholl) Gill.
Gary was a 1961 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School.
Gary dedicated his career as a salesman to helping others, beginning with Electrolux Appliances and later serving clients with Prudential and American General.
He was of the Baptist faith and was affiliated with Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Lewisburg.
Gary was a life member of DH&L Ambulance League.
Outside of his professional life, Gary had many interests and hobbies that brought him great joy. He loved traveling and exploring new places. He was an avid collector and seller of model trains, a passion he enjoyed sharing with fellow enthusiasts. Gary also took great pride in gardening, especially growing vegetables and his favorite crop, cantaloupes. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Martha J. (Pfleeger) Gill; two sons, Scott A. (Vicki) Gill and Gary Jr. (Vicki) Gill; a daughter, Wendy (Fiancé Lonnie) Gill; two sisters, Janice Kline and Linda Strausser; four grandchildren, Zachery Gill, Bailey Brubaker, Courtney Brubaker, and Allie Walters; and six great grandchildren, Claire, Mia, Jaylynn, Brylee, Caden, and Cloud.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a son and his wife, Russell II and Dawn Gill; and a granddaughter, Jasmine.
A viewing will be from 12:00 noon – 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1318 Susquehanna Trail (Route 147), Northumberland, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Alan Tucker officiating.
Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
