Gregory “Greg” George Harvey, 72, of Winfield entered into rest on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at his home. Gregory was born on December 19, 1952, in DuBois, the son of the late George and Margaret (Hinderliter) Harvey. On December 19, 1980, he married the former Marie Roth, who survives. The couple were married for 44 years at the time of his passing. Greg was a US Army veteran and later served in the Army National Guard and Air Force National Guard. He was a graduate of Penn State University. Greg retired after 30 years from the Selinsgrove Area School District, where he taught Industrial Arts in high school and middle school. He was also a Little League coach. He attended Saint Thomas More in Northumberland. Greg was a member of the American Legion Lewisburg, the BVS Choir and the Falling Rockerzz group in which he played the harmonica. Greg enjoyed woodworking and hunting. In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by two stepsons Joshua (Gina) Knauer and Nathan Knauer, four grandchildren Samantha, Aiden, Jayden and Haley, four sisters and two brothers Sue (Richard) McCarty, Douglas (Ess) Harvey, Cindy (Art) Kunst, Jeff (Cathy) Harvey, Pam (John) Samanka, and Bev (Tom) Bogacki, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to the viewing on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove and again on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with speaker Joshua Knauer and friend Jim Torretti delivering the eulogy. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Post No. 25 and the Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6631 will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
