Harvey Ritter Obituary

Harvey E. Ritter, 95, of Selinsgrove entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 17,
2025, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
He was born at home in Salem on November 16, 1930, he was the son of the late L.
Glenn and Dorothy (Boyer) Ritter. Harvey was a 1948 graduate of Milton High School
and later served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954 during the
Korean War. On July 2, 1955, he married the former June E. Wagner, who preceded
him in death on August 26, 2019. The couple were married for 64 years at the time of
her passing.
Harvey retired after 40 years from Weis Markets Milton warehouse as an Inbound
Freight Receiving Clerk.
He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove, and a member of
the Selinsgrove American Legion Post No. 25. Harvey enjoyed spending time outdoors
and hunting. He also enjoyed working around his house and garage. In his earlier years,
Harvey was a little league coach and later attended many of his sons and
grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law: Son Dale H. and Debra Ritter,
grandchildren Joseph Barnes, Heidi and Jim Lake. Son Timothy L. and Bridget Ritter,
grandchildren Sarah and Jack Lydic, Anne and Jonathan Haller, Michael and Brennan
Ritter; along with eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife Harvey
was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and George Wolfe.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Harvey to
Salem Lutheran Church, 899 Salem Road, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Arrangements by
the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove.
