James Russell “Jim” Wolf, 77, of Port Trevorton past from death to eternal life on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Brookdale Grayson View, Selinsgrove. He was the husband of the late Marlene K. (Wagner) Wolf who preceded him on November 23, 2008.
James was born on September 22, 1947, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Donald and Esther (Snyder) Wolf. Jim graduated from Selinsgrove High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He furthered his education for four years at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 143.
He retired as an electrician from the Edwin L Heim Company, Harrisburg.
Jim was a lifetime member of Witmer’s United Methodist Church, Port Trevorton and the Rooster’s Corner Sportsmen’s Club, Selinsgrove. He was also a member of the Kairos Prison Ministry, Emmaus group, United Methodist Men, Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631, and IBEW Local 143, Harrisburg, and was a Lay Speaker. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Jim is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law Michael and Denise Wolf and Matthew Wolf, two grandsons Garrett and Viviana Wolf, and Brennen and Paige Wolf, a great-grandchild on the way, a brother Dale Wolf, a sister-in-law Emily Wolf, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Wolf and his beagle Benji.
A visitation will on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Witmer’s United Methodist Church, 350 Witmer Road, Port Trevorton, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott Ryan officiating. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Post No. 25 and the Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631 will be in Witmer’s Memorial Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
