Jeanette L. (Hackenburg) Culp

Jeanette Laura Culp, 87, of Selinsgrove passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital Emergency Room, Lewisburg. She was the wife of the late Harold Culp.

Jeanette was born at home in Middleburg on July 25, 1937, a daughter of the late Hiram Hackenburg and the late Harriett (Beaver) Neece.

She attended a one room schoolhouse in Middleburg and graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1955. Jeanette was formerly employed at Shroyer’s Dress Factory, J. Kleinbauer clothing store, and Bridals by J as a seamstress.

She attended Sound of the Gospel Church Selinsgrove and was a member of New Hope Bible Church, Mifflinburg where she was treasurer, florist, and a member of the Women’s Fellowship group.

Jeanette loved to sew and make crafts. She also enjoyed watching football.

She loved her family, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with her three great-granddaughters.

Surviving Jeanette are her daughter Martha Ulrich, two grandchildren Mirinda Ulrich and her significant other Brett Gold and Matthew Ulrich and his wife Lera, three great-granddaughters Mackenzie, Aubrei, and Lilli, three sisters Ruth Gelnett, Joy Catherman, and Jeane Flesh and her husband Joe, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Rickie Ulrich, two brothers Ray Hackenburg and Harold Hackenburg, and two brothers-in-law Stuart Gelnett and Sylvester Catherman.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove and again on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Bible Church, 310 Raven Lane, Mifflinburg followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harry Harter officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg. Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Jeanette to New Hope Bible Church, 310 Raven Lane, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
