Joy A. (Young) VanHorn

Joy Ann VanHorn, 78, of Selinsgrove entered into rest on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Milton. She was the wife of the late Robert E. VanHorn Jr. Joy was born in Sunbury on December 6, 1946, a daughter of the late Marvin A. and Edith A. (Richcofski) Young. She was a 1964 graduate of Selinsgrove High School. Joy was formerly employed at Follmers Trucking and later as Auditor for Penn Township.

She enjoyed bowling and traveling.

Joy is survived by her daughter Beth VanHorn and her husband James Bonawitz, two granddaughters, Avery VanHorn and Emma Bonawitz, and many friends, including close family members Louise and Justin Swope of Kratzerville.

She was preceded in death by her sister Janice M. Conrad-Kelly.

A viewing will be held for friends on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove. A private graveside service with Rev. Ursula Schreffler officiating will be in the New Berlin Cemetery, New Berlin.
