Kenneth D. “Butch” Frederick, 80, of Selinsgrove, crossed the rainbow bridge on November 26, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born on August 25, 1945, in Winfield. He was raised for 31 years by his great Aunt and Uncle, Nevin and Bertha Moyer of Lewisburg.
On May 7, 1977, he married the former Donna K. Caldwell. They were married by the Rev. Harry Eberly in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Hummels Wharf. Ken's passing breaks a union of 48 years.
Ken attended Christ United Methodist Church in Selinsgrove.
Ken was a 1963 graduate of Lewisburg High School and a 1968 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, where he graduated with an associates degree in Heavy Equipment Operation and Servicing. Ken was a heavy equipment operator for many different construction companies.
He was a lifelong Hershey Bears fan and enjoyed train watching in Juniata and Mifflin Counties. Ken was also a member of Hummels Wharf and Shamokin Dam Fire Companies and the Friends of the Railroad Museum in Strasburg, PA.
In addition to his loving wife of 48 years, Ken is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kevin and Melissa Frederick of Danville; three granddaughters Dana, Emily, and Chelsea; a great-grandson William; and a nephew Rick Mitchell of Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers Roy and Robert Frederick; one sister Jean Mitchell; and great aunt and uncle Nevin and Bertha Moyer.
Funeral services will be held at V.L. Seebold Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eric Shafer Officiating. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be in Dreisbach Church Cemetery, Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Haven to Home Canine Rescue.
