Larry R. Walters

Larry Richard Walters, 79, of Selinsgrove marched through the gates of heaven on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove. He was born on May 12, 1945, in Sunbury, the son of the late Charles T. and Florence M. (Peters) Walters.  Larry served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. On May 2, 1971, he married the former Elaine I. Baker, who survives. The couple were married for 53 years at the time of his passing.

Larry retired from Pepsi-Cola in 2012 after 23 years of service.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 201, Sunbury and the V.F.W. Post 6631, Selinsgrove.

In addition to his loving wife, Larry is survived by his children Larry R. Walters II, Brian Clark, Lynnet Clark, and Briana Artz, a granddaughter Joanne Walters, a sister Mary Geyer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother William and a sister Shirley.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Keyworth officiating. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove America Legion Post 25 and Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631 will be Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam. Following the service and burial a luncheon will be provided at Christ United Methodist Church, 145 Disciple Drive, Selinsgrove.
