Lee Richard Naugle, 85, of Kratzerville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg with his son’s present at his bedside. Lee was born on January 28, 1941, in Jackson Township, Snyder County, the son of the late Harry and Arla (Beaver) Naugle. He was the husband of the late Norma Lucy (Keifer) Naugle. Lee and Norma were married for 65 years at the time of her passing on August 29, 2025. Lee was a 1959 graduate of Selinsgrove High School. On May 28, 1960, he married the former Norma Lucy Keifer and drove to Kansas where he was stationed in the United States Army. He served in the United States Army beginning in 1960 and United States Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1966. After returning home from the United States Army, he began his working career at Shippers Car Line until 1973. He later worked at the Lewisburg Penitentiary from 1974 until his retirement in 1996. At the Penitentiary he held the positions of Painter Forman, Upholsterer Forman, Inventory Management Specialist, and Factory Manager at the camp. After his retirement from the Penitentiary, he assisted for many years at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, Selinsgrove. Lee believed in his faith, family, and community. He was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kratzerville, where he served on church council, sang in the choir, and assisted with many other committees and events. He volunteered at the Kratzerville Volunteer Fire Company for over 50 years and served as Past President, Past Assistant Fire Chief, and Past Chief Engineer. Lee also enjoyed planning and preparing for the annual Firemen’s carnival to help raise money to support the operations of the fire department. Lee was a member of the Selinsgrove Masonic Lodge. Lee was known for assisting his neighbors, friends, and family with anything from electrical work, snow removal, or just spending time sharing a story, conversation, or taking his “little buddy” Oscar (mini dachshund) for walks when visiting his son Jeff and his family. Lee was a Penn State and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-laws Tim and Debbie Naugle and Jeff and Maria Naugle, four grandchildren Henry Williams and his wife Mallory, Neena Cassell and her husband Matthew, Adam Naugle and his fiancée Liv Driscoll, and Kathryn Naugle, two great-grandchildren Ethan and Bella Cassell, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Neida and Rudy Otto, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Lee was preceded in death by two sisters Shirley Brouse and Patricia Reigle. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove and again on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (Kratzerville), 4298 Route 204, Selinsgrove followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mindy Bartholomew officiating. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Post 25 and Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631 will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Kratzerville.
