Patricia L. (Hughes) Fahnestock

Patricia L. Fahnestock, 91, of Selinsgrove passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Brookdale Grayson View, Selinsgrove with her loving family by her side.

She was born August 6, 1933, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Miles D. and Clara E. (Hikes) Hughes. On May 22, 1953, she married Kenneth H. Fahnestock who preceded her in death on September 22, 2000.

Patricia was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School with the class of 1951.

She worked as a secretary for the Selinsgrove borough, Susquehanna University and L.B. Water in Selinsgrove until her retirement.

Patricia was a volunteer for Selinsgrove Meals on Wheels and liked to play cards.

Surviving are three children, Linda (Dan) LaBrec, Michael K. (Carol) Fahnestock and Lisa Morton (Jeff Patterson); eight grandchildren, Josh (Beth) LaBrec, Danielle (Nick) Cohen, Shannon Morton (Dan Straface), Lori (Ryan) Stoepker, Jaime (Ryan) Umberger, Alissa Morton, Eric (Marilyn) Fahnestock and Erin (Anthony) Brozusky; eleven great-grandchildren, Maddie, Lily, Hannah, Leah, Keira, Liam, Emma, Francesca, Ruby, Ethan, Braylon and one expected in June.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Martin (Pat) Hughes; a brother-in-law, Karl Fahnestock; and a granddaughter, Caitlyn Maughan.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
