Rachel Ruth Betzer

Rachel Ruth Betzer, 90, of Selinsgrove, entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born on August 17, 1935, in Selinsgrove, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Cleta (Heavner) Stauffer.

Rachel served as a registered nurse at the Selinsgrove Center for 33 years.

She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove.

In her free time, Rachel enjoyed reading, flowers and gardening, and listing to music. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her loved ones.

Rachel is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Richard) Pehowic; two brothers, Samuel and Timothy Stauffer; a sister, Jan Hilbish; grandchildren, Jason (Kayla) and Lindsey (Jared) Kratzer; and a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Kratzer.

In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Betzer; a brother John; and two sisters, Mary Catherine and Estella Moyer.

A graveside service will be held privately for the family.
