Russell L. "Rusty" Entz, Jr.

Russell Leroy “Rusty” Entz, Jr., 82, of Selinsgrove, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on April 2, 1943, in Jersey Shore, PA, Rusty was a son to the late Russell and Pearl (Wilson) Entz.

A proud veteran who served honorably in the United States Coast Guard, Rusty dedicated a portion of his life to protecting our nation's waters and upholding the values of service, duty, and integrity.

As a cherished member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Rusty was known for his quiet faith, his willingness to help others, and his steady presence in all that he did.

Rusty was a member of the fire police for DH&L Fire Company in Selinsgrove, as well as the American Legion Post 25. Rusty also had a lifelong love of slow-pitch softball, a game he enjoyed both for the camaraderie and the competition. Whether on the field or in the pews, Rusty brought people together with his good nature, sense of humor, and dependable spirit.

Rusty is survived by his loving wife, Jean Entz; daughters Sheri (Jeff) Hoke of Kratzerville and Dana (Rick) Grubbs of Rhode Island; sister Betty Coffey; and his two dogs, Kallie and Marley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 North High Street, Selinsgrove where the memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Steve Hoke officiating.

Military honors will follow at the funeral home.
