Ruth Ann (Hoover) Zimmerman

Ruth Ann Zimmerman, 77, formerly of Selinsgrove area, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Heritage Springs Memory Care in Lewisburg.

She was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late George and Dora Englehart Hoover. 

She was married to Jacque L. Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2021.

She retired from Sunbury Textile Mills, where she spent her entire working career. 

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Selinsgrove.

Surviving are a daughter Lisa Cook, of Selinsgrove and a son, Brian Zimmerman, of Aliquippa; three grandchildren Jordan Zimmerman, Chase Zimmerman and Alexis Smith; three great-grandchildren Oliver Smith, Thea Smith, and Penelope Smith; and one sister, Peg Shrawder.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kantz.

A service to celebrate Ruth Ann's life will be held on Friday, May 9, at 4 p.m. at V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, with the Rev. Susan Jamison officiating.

Private burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
