Shirley Ann Strous, 80, of Northumberland passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. She was the wife of the late David Strous and the late Robert “Sonny” Bussey Sr.
Shirley was born on March 8, 1944, in Sunbury, the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Geraldine M. (Kauffman) Baker.
She attended Sunbury High school then worked and retired from Phillips Industries after 38 years.
She loved planting, growing and decorating her home with flowers, shopping, and going out to eat. Shirley and her second husband enjoyed camping, and traveling the country. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for her puppy “Mini.”
Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Thomas Hamor, her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kim Bussey Jr., five grandchildren Bryant, Samantha, Alyssa, Lindsay, and Derek, and two great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles H. Melton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery, Vista Ave Northumberland.
