Stephen R. “Steve” Pursell, 55, of Shamokin Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 25, 2026, at his residence.
Born on Dec. 29, 1970, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was a son to the late Franklin and Priscilla (McCollin) Pursell.
Steve was a graduate of Milton Area High School, class of 1989.
He was employed as a manager at NAPA Auto Parts in Selinsgrove.
Steve was an avid fan of NASCAR and Formula 1, spending countless hours cheering for his favorite drivers and immersing himself in the excitement of the races. His passion for cars extended beyond the track; he loved working on his own and his family's vehicles, sharing his knowledge and skills with those he cared about.
In addition to his love for racing, Steve enjoyed reading comic books and had a deep appreciation for music. His diverse tastes often sparked lively conversations and brought joy to those around him.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Jessica A. (Baker) Pursell; two sons Logan R. Pursell and Ronan N. Pursell; three sisters Leilani Doskocil (Daniel), Lisa Pursell, and Crystal Daley (Mike); nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
